I've been remiss

Of course I've been taking photos but I have not been loading anything for you to see!

I've done some "sexy" shots of a friend, an engagement shoot, a back up set of photos at a wedding and more sittings with babies and kids. Busy busy.

Fall is here and I'm dying to see how the trees look this year with the wet summer we have had.

The photo you are seeing is from September 11th, 2008. The fourth leg of the "Tour of Missouri" bike race and wow was that amazing to shoot.

Just a peek

I posted this on flickr.com and it made it to Explore ....which in Flickr land means you are "good". It's really random but it makes a person "feel good" to find they have been on Explore. It's allegedly the cream of the crop. 500 people a day get chosen to represent the best of the best.

Busy Busy

I just have to say how happy I am that we are finished with a big long flurry of many weeks of work in a row where we have worked SATURDAYS. For about three months we have worked nearly every Saturday or at least every other. On the opposite Saturdays (or weekends) we've had our grandaughter. So there has been no time for me to really cultivate much of what has been brewing in my head regarding my new business. Oh it's been brewing all right but it is now starting to spill out into reality.


I have decided how I'm going to do my business cards and am currently looking into which companies will provide the best printing services for your photos. This is extremely important to me. I know how much people spend (and agonize over spending) on good photos. For me, if you are going to spend money on photos they better A. be damn good photos and B. the quality of the printed photo better be exemplary. Reputation is important to me too so I'm trying to choose wisely. I want to find the best quality for the best price to keep my clients as happy as possible.

I have a "TO PURCHASE" wishlist that is longer than the Mississippi!

Welcome to my new World....

I couldn't start this blog with a better photo....than this one of my little friend Lexi. I took this photo just this week and I wanted to specifically start with something fresh that I'd just done.

Over the last several months some amazing things have been happening which has led me to the point I've just about arrived at with my photography.....



I've started actually "doing" photography.

Instead of taking pictures at family events or being the one holding the camera most of the time, I'm now being asked to shoot at events like births, weddings and birthdays, and for portraits like engagements and graduations.

So if you are reading this you are here at the beginning of my photography journey. Here is some background.

Many of you know me already but I'll start at the top.

My name is Lisa Sigler and I live in south central Missouri. I am married and we have five children. One has already passed on and left behind one of our three amazing grandchildren. I am afraid you will see a lot of them on this blog, and if you visit my flickr account. They are some of my favorite and main subjects. Their beauty is endless.

Right now I am busy planning. I have so much to do.
